MoZoo Lab

THE MOLECULAR ZOOLOGY LAB

Evolution is the unifying concept of Biology, and understanding its mechanisms—from species to genes and backwards—represents the main focus of our research.

The MoZoo Lab works on a spectrum of zoological topics in animal evolutionary biology, using a wide range of technical approaches such as optical, electron, fluorescence and confocal microscopy, karyology, cytogenetic analyses, RealTime qPCR, and High-Throughput Sequencing.

The MoZoo Lab is located in the Department of “Scienze Biologiche, Geologiche e Ambientali (BiGeA)”, University of Bologna (Italy).
